Why is rebenching necessary before any landforming in the field?

You need to rebench to remove any differences in horizontal and vertical location that occur when you move a base station or you load the design in the earth moving machine because the antenna height on the scraper is higher than the antenna height of the survey vehicle, often.

To remove these differences, you need to put the center of your blade down on the master benchmark, click the bench on benchmark button. DO NOT create a new benchmark where the master benchmark is which some people accidentally do because the create benchmark button is beside. You are not creating a new benchmark, you are benching on the existing benchmark.
