2.1.1   Standard Toolbar

Open – Open an existing OptiSurface Designer project file (*.osd) or open a survey file and import it into a new OptiSurface Designer project file.
Save – Save the existing OptiSurface Designer project file. If it has not been saved before a save dialog box will ask where to save it.
Import – Import a field survey data file. A dialog box will ask for its location. Multiple data files can be imported into the same OptiSurface Designer project.
Export - Export the current design surface to file so it can be uploaded to a machine control hardware.
Print – Print the current scene view
Print Preview – Review the current scene view as a print out.
Copy Screen – Copy the current scene view to clipboard.

2.1.2   View Toolbar

Zoom In – Zoom in by a factor of 2. Tip: Try using the mouse scroll wheel to zoom too.
Zoom Out – Zoom out by a factor of 2. Tip: Try using the mouse scroll wheel to zoom too.
Zoom To Window – Left click then drag a window to zoom to an area.
Zoom To Extents – Zoom to full extents of data.
Pan – Left click and drag to pan the scene. In this mode you can also hold the <Shift> key down to rotate the scene and hold the <Ctrl> key down to orbit the scene.
Rotate – Left click and drag to rotate the scene about the Z axis.
Plan View – View the terrain from top looking down.
Side View – View the terrain from front looking horizontally.
Isometric View – View the terrain in 3D perspective.
Points Toggle – Press to turn ON points; de-press to turn OFF points.
Recall View – Recall the last map layer viewed and switch quickly.

2.1.3 Analysis Toolbar

Drainage Analysis – Define the parameters to run the Drainage Analysis to calculate Ponding Depth Map and Flow Paths Map.
Runoff Analysis – Define the parameters to run the Runoff Analysis to calculate Runoff Velocity Map and Runoff Depth Map.
Irrigation Analysis - Define the parameters to run the Irrigation Analysis to calculate Irrigation Infiltration Depth,  Cutoff Time and Inflow Rate Maps.

2.1.4 Surface Design Toolbar

Calculate Proposed Topography – Based on the landform design parameters defined for each zone, calculate the optimal proposed topography.
Landform Design Parameters – Define the Landform Design parameters for the design area.
Draw Polygon Zone - Draw a design zone (Boundary or Subzone) in the map then define the parameters.
Draw Circular Zone - Draw a design zone (Boundary or Subzone) in the map then define the parameters.
Draw Straight Breakline - Draw a straight Breakline in the Map.
Draw Curved Breakline - Draw a curved Breakline in the Map.
Triangulate Breakline - Triangulate the breakline in the topography. This can Toggled ON or OFF.
Haul Analysis - Define the Haul Analysis parameters for the Cut/Fill Map.

2.1.5   Tools Toolbar

Straight Profile Section – View the Profile section of the terrain.
Polyline Profile Section – Draw a polyline Profile line in the map.
Measure Distance – Measure vertical and horizontal distance between two points, plus slope (%) and bearing (degrees from north) of line between two points.
Multi-Measure Distance – Measure vertical and horizontal distance between multiple points, plus slope (%) and bearing (degrees from north) of line between two points.
Add Note – Add a text note in the map.
Report – Generate a report that summarises the inputs and outputs for landform design and/or analysis.
License Status – Displays options to check License status or remaining credits.
User Guide – View the Help documentation. You're looking at it.
