This feature is under development. Use at your own risk.

Overview:  Calculates a levee design for rice fields with a given vertical spacing.

Displayed by:  Tools > Rice Levee Design...

Appearance:

  • Boundary - select the boundary where the ditch network design will be calculated within.

  • Topography - select the topography which will be the input to the calculation.

  • Calculation Grid Spacing (m or ft) - define how far apart the calculation grid points are.

  • Highest Elevation (m or ft) define the elevation where the highest levee will be placed. Select 'Pick' to click the location on the Map.

  • Vertical Interval (m or ft) define the vertical spacing of the levees.

  • Lowest Elevation (m or ft) define the elevation where the lowest levee will be placed. Select 'Pick' to click the location on the Map.

  • OptiLevee Technology - tick ON to optimize levee placement by maximizing spacing uniformity

    - Vertical Tolerance (m or ft): define the amount of elevation difference of the contour bank and the selected boundary.

  • Delete Previously Created Breaklines - tick this ON to delete the breaklines created from the previous calculation.
Example:

This field will be designed for ponded rice. The field was smoothed with OptiSurface 4Way as shown below.

The Rice Levees were calculated using the inputs above.
