Question

I was looking for some information about the time-durability of an osd file. My boss wanted to know if it is recommended to make another survey on a field that has been landformed 2 years ago or if using the same osd (completed) would be able to do the job? One of my coworkers told me that using the same osd was fine, and I wanted to see clear on the question.

Answer

1. You can use the same design to retouch a field. The same osd file that you developed 2 yrs ago will export again at no cost

.2. You can also modify the design in the old osd file and export again at no cost.

In both cases, obviously the earthworks volumes and Cut/Fill Map will not be accurate because previously you shifted earth.
